Yesterday was World Mental Health Day—a day dedicated to raising awareness, fostering support, and encouraging open conversations about mental health. Ironically, I spent it in the fracture clinic at the hospital with my husband, who’s managed to rupture his Achilles tendon. And the worst part? He wasn’t doing anything adventurous—he was just standing on the football pitch when it happened. It’s become a bit of a running joke now that he’s “too old for football,” but it’s hit us both hard. We’ve realised how quickly things can change and how fragile life really is.

Yes, this healing period is going to be a challenge—no driving, no school pick-ups, no karate club runs, and all in a new area where we’re still finding our feet. It’s overwhelming to suddenly be taking on everything alone. But amidst all the worry and adjustments, I’m reminded of how lucky we are. My husband is alive, and he will get better. We’ve been through tougher times.
Reflecting and Refocusing on Self-Care
After spending the last few weeks making sure our girls were settled into their new school routine, joining a karate club, and getting swimming lessons sorted, I’ve realised something: I’ve put myself last. Again. It’s a habit many of us fall into—especially when life is throwing new challenges our way.
But the truth is, I can’t be there for my family if I don’t take care of myself. I’ve decided that now is the time to treat myself as if I were one of my own clients. I’m starting a self-care challenge for the next month, with each week focusing on a different theme:
Week 1: Goal Setting
Week 2: Letting Go
Week 3: Building Confidence
Week 4: Future Visualisation & Creating Hope
Each week will have its own hypnosis track and a set of activities to help me—and anyone else who wants to join in—reset and refocus.
Join Me in January!
This programme isn’t ready for everyone to join in just yet, as I’m still testing it out on myself and fine-tuning the details. But it will be going live in January, and I’m excited to share it with all of you! If you’re interested in taking part when it launches, drop me a message or leave a comment to let me know. I’d love to see how many of you are interested in this journey.
In the meantime, I’ll be sharing tips, updates, and some resources to give you a sneak peek into the process. Make sure you’re following me on Facebook and Instagram to stay in the loop and get a head start on self-care before the programme even begins.
Extra Support: My ‘Confidence Cloak’ MP3 Recording
If you’re looking for a boost in confidence right now, you might want to check out my ‘Confidence Cloak’ MP3 recording. It’s an invisible cloak that you can wear whenever you need to feel a little braver or more self-assured.
Here are three tips on how it can help you:
Shift Your Mindset Instantly: The Confidence Cloak helps shift your mindset from self-doubt to self-assurance. Imagine yourself wearing an invisible cloak that radiates confidence. Just the act of visualising it can make you feel more empowered.
Rewire Negative Thought Patterns: By listening to the recording regularly, you’re allowing your subconscious to let go of those negative thought loops and replace them with positive affirmations that lift you up.
Boost in Social Situations: This recording is perfect for those moments when you feel nervous about social interactions or public speaking. It creates a mental anchor that helps you tap into your inner strength whenever you need it.

I’m looking forward to starting this self-care journey and would love for you to join me when the programme launches in January. What are your thoughts on the themes I’ve chosen? Is there anything else you think I should include? Feel free to share your ideas in the comments below or reach out on social media—I’d love to hear from you!
